Our Favourite Scrubs Moments

In preparation for the return of a new, and I really mean new, season of Scrubs tomorrow night (9pm on ABC), with the help of my friend Heather, we've revisited some of our favourite moments from previous Scrubs seasons... most of which are musical.

Season Three
Sara's choice
This is kind of cheating, but this was the season where in my mind, Scrubs really hit its stride. After two solid seasons of figuring out who the characters are and how they interact, in season three the relationships and interaction of the characters was pitch perfect, and there was a comfortable balance found that inserted just the right amount of zany antics, fantasy sequences and internal monologues from J.D.
This season was like comfort food for me during my first year of university, just the right amount of character and comedy to unwind and get the mind off the school without having to actually think about it too much.

Poison's "Talk Dirty To Me" as sung by Ted and Carla in "My Heavy Meddle"
One of Sara's all time favourite Scrubs moments, also one of Heather's picks!
When Dr. Kelso would not allow Carla to bring a boom box into the room of a coma patient despite the wishes of his living will to hear the song, Carla improvises. And since there's nothing better than hearing a hair metal favourite sung acapella by two very talented folks....

Air Band "More than a Feeling"
Heather's Pick, Sara is also very enthusiastic about Turk's air band antics
From season 5's "My Half Acre"

JD takes a Bath with Toto, and a ride with Sasha
Heather's Pick
From Scrubs's 100th episode "My Way Home"
Oh JD... why did you have to eat the body butter? This moment also features JD's special relationship with Sasha.

"Waiting for my Real Life to Begin"
Heather's Pick
For the finale, this is an apt choice. This is a Scrubs fantasy sequence done right. It's a beautiful song, done well, and makes use of a wide variety of the multi-talented cast members and seemlessly incorporated into the narrative of the show. From season two's "My Philosphy":
