Initially conceived as a webseries focusing on a the young William Adama during the Cylon War, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome has now officially been greenlit by Syfy as a TV movie to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2011, or possibly 2012 if Syfy decides to adapt Blood & Chrome into a full fledged series.
As for the fate of Caprica, Syfy promised a decision by November 15th. Especially after this week's action packed episode I'm certainly crossing my fingers for a renewal.

Caprica Returns October 5th
Caprica played it smart by being something completely different than it's predecessor but playing within the same universe.

New Poster Art for "Caprica"
Syfy just released the sexy new poster art for Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica that will deal with the invention of the cylons and the early struggles with the new technology.
Mark Stern, executive vice president of original content for Syfy and co-head of Universal Cable Productions commented on the Eve and the apple metaphor explaining that Caprica "deals with our relationship to technology and the question of 'When is too much knowledge a bad thing?' Knowledge and technology can turn against you and can be dangerous weapons".
Caprica has been given an order of 19 hours kicked off with a two hour pilot that has already been released on DVD. The show will air through March 2010 then break, resuming with the ten additional hours in the second half of the year.
The highly anticipated prequel to the epic Battlestar Galactica is set to hit the air Jan 22, 2010 on SyFy. Canadian Space Channel promises to air the show but has not published a premiere date on it's website.

Those BSGers Really Get Around - Dualla is back in "Children of the Corn"
First we've got Jamie Bamber running around spreading his sexy all over Law & Order: UK, then hitting us again with a guest star spot on the season premiere of Dollhouse alongside Tehmoh Penikett.
Now we're hit with another shot of BSG awesome as Dualla (Kandyse McClure) stars in a SyFy remake of Steven King's "Children of the Corn".
When I first glanced at this TWOP article I completely goofed, seeing the name Dualla and Anders used in the same sentence I came to the very logical conclusion that Michael Trucco would also be starring. Then I actually *read* the article and felt a bit cheated.
